This album is a departure from my previous albums. My previous albums were centred around a live band, however, this record is centred around beat making, afrobeats, and an electro afrofuturist-sound.
As a musician I feel its important to redefine myself to ensure I am pushing the boundaries creatively and personally. The album is called Radical Thoughts, the idea behind the album is that most often than not the things we call radical are usually things that make this world a better place, whether is abolition, building community, and working towards the liberation of people all over the world. Its upbeat to allow listeners to dance, its informative to allow listeners to learn, its futuristic to allow us to dream about a better future, its fun to allow is to enjoy the present, it an outpouring of my heart to the world in hopes of a better future.
I got the chance to work with amazing music producers and beatmakers in Hamilton namely Onglish, ttwwrrss, Young Dave Bangin, and Mother Tareka. Their creative beats allowed me to push my songwriting amd explore new ways of telling stories.
The first single PARTY aka CLEMENTINE was produced by Onglish and was released on March 18th, 2022 on all music platforms. The track explores the ideas of partnership and celebration in ways that allow people to express their views especially when they come from different places. If you are in a party and chilly mood this is definitely the song for you.
The second single P.R.O.T.E.S.T was produced by Young Dave Bangin and was released on April 8th, 2022 on all music platforms. The track pays tribute to past Black leaders like Viola Desmond, Fred Hampton, Audre Lorde, and bell hooks who fought against racial discrimination and inspired a generation of anti-capitalist movements centered around love, compassion, and relational solidarity.
The third single See The Light was produced by Onglish and will be released on July 7th, 2023. This track deals with the impact of white supremacy and cultural imperialism on global south cultures with a focus on Black people, people of African descent, and the African diaspora. I use pidgen English throughout the song to also challenge the dominance of the English language and its role in destroying Indigenous languages around the world.

Emancipation Day 2023
On August 1st Canada and other former British colonies celebrate Emancipation Day. August 1st is a significant day because ot mark the day in 1834 when the Slavery Abolition Act came into effect. The Act initiated the legal abolition of centuries of slavery that impacted over 800,000 people of African descent who were enslaved around the world - including here in Canada.
August 1 is significant because it marks the day in 1834 when the Slavery Abolition Act came into effect, after being passed by the British Parliament. The Act initiated the legal abolition of centuries of slavery that impacted over 800,000 people of African descent who were enslaved around the world – including here in Canada. In honor of this day and the commitment to pushing back against White supremacy and anti-Black racism, I dedicate this song Black Futures featuring ttwwrrss & Tom Altobelli to people of African descent all over the world working to build and create safe and thriving Black futures. Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere (Martin Luther King).
